Legal & Policies
The information you need to understand how ARTinez handles your data, your rights, and the terms on which this website and any work we do together operate.
ARTinez is the trading name of Andrei Martinescu, a sole trader. These pages describe how the business operates, what it does with your information, and what you can expect. They are written in plain English and are meant to be read.
They are not, each one, a document that a particular law compels us to publish as a separate page. They are the clearest way we found to give you the information and the terms that matter, in one consistent set.
01 Privacy Notice
What we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, the rights you have, and how to complain to the data protection regulator.
02 Cookies & Preferences
This site sets no cookies and makes no third-party requests. What that means, and what we will do if it ever changes.
03 Website Terms of Use
The rules for using this website: what you may do, ownership, acceptable use, third-party links and liability.
04 Service Terms & Conditions
How a contract for work is formed and performed: scope, fees, approvals, intellectual property, changes, cancellation, liability and jurisdiction. Separate provisions for businesses and consumers.
05 Cancellation & Refunds
The 14-day cancellation right for contracts concluded at a distance, how to cancel, refunds, early-start requests, and the model cancellation form.
06 Complaints & Contact
How to reach us, how a complaint is handled and by when, and where to go if you are not satisfied.
07 Hosting & Maintenance Schedule
The optional schedule covering managed hosting and maintenance: what is included, renewals, backups, support hours, migration and exit.
08 Accessibility Statement
What accessibility testing has actually been carried out, what is known to be imperfect, and how to report a barrier.
How these pages fit together
The Website Terms of Use govern browsing this site. If you commission work, the Service Terms and Conditions apply to that work, and they take priority over the website terms where they conflict. If you are a consumer, the cancellation and refund information applies in addition.
The Hosting & Maintenance Schedule is optional. It applies only if you buy a managed hosting or maintenance service. Where it conflicts with the Service Terms, the Schedule applies to the hosting and maintenance element.
Versions and dates
Each page carries a version number and the date it took effect. The table below is the version history for this set of documents. If the wording changes, the version number and date change and an entry is added here.
| Version | Effective | What changed |
|---|---|---|
| 1.1 | 25 October 2026 | Corrections to wording published the same day under version 1.0. The data protection regulator is now named correctly, and is not described as varying by which part of the UK a business is established in. The retention periods for accounting records, hosting backups and web server logs are corrected. The alternative-dispute-resolution position is corrected. The security section now separates what the law requires from what we do in practice and from what we recommend. The description of how the enquiry forms work is corrected. The third-party request disclosures are updated to reflect that the fonts and imagery are now served from our own server. An internal note that should never have been published has been removed from the cancellation page, and the portfolio image is now labelled as illustrative. |
| 1.0 | 25 October 2026 | First publication of these legal and policy pages. |
