Cookies & Preferences
The honest position: this website does not set any cookies. This page explains the only third-party requests your browser makes, and what you can do about them.
Short version
This website does not use cookies. It also does not run analytics, does not show advertising, does not embed social media posts or videos, and does not use a chat widget or a consent-management platform. Every file your browser loads — fonts, images, stylesheets, scripts — comes from ARTinez's own server. Your browser makes no third-party requests at all when you visit a page.
1. What counts as a cookie
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store and send back. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) require websites to tell you about cookies and, for most non-essential cookies, to get your agreement before they are set.
The Information Commission treats a number of other technologies as equivalent to cookies, including tracking pixels, web beacons, local storage, session storage, IndexedDB and browser fingerprinting. This page covers those too.
2. What we use
Nothing that is stored on your device. Specifically:
| Technology | Used? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| First-party cookies | No | No use case. The site sends no cookie headers |
| Third-party cookies | No | No analytics, advertising, social or chat provider is present |
| localStorage | No | Not used anywhere in the site's JavaScript |
| sessionStorage | No | Not used |
| IndexedDB | No | Not used |
| Tracking pixels / web beacons | No | No such tags in any page |
| Fingerprinting | No | No canvas, WebGL or audio fingerprinting |
| Service workers | No | No offline caching |
3. Third-party requests
None. Every file this site asks your browser to load — the fonts, the images, the stylesheets, the scripts — is served from ARTinez's own server. When you view a page of this site, your browser contacts us and nobody else. It does not contact Google, an image host, an analytics provider, an advertising network, a social platform or a chat provider.
Earlier versions of this site loaded the web fonts from Google and one photograph from Unsplash. Both are now hosted by us. We record the source and licence of every third-party file we serve — the fonts, and the illustrative photograph used in place of project imagery — in our asset source and licence note.
Why no consent banner?
A consent banner is required before setting non-essential cookies or comparable technologies that need consent. We do not set any of them, and we make no third-party requests at all. There is therefore nothing on this page for you to accept or reject, and a banner would ask you to decide about something that does not exist.
We would rather tell you plainly what happens than show you a dialog with nothing meaningful to decide.
4. If this ever changes
If ARTinez ever introduces a technology that requires consent — for example analytics, a marketing tool, an embedded video or a chat widget — this page will be updated, a consent banner will appear on the site, and that technology will not be enabled until you have chosen. The banner will offer accept optional and reject optional, will not pre-tick anything optional, will offer granular categories where there is more than one, and will keep a record of your choice so it does not ask you again. There will always be a way to change your mind afterwards, and continued browsing will never be treated as consent.
We will not add a paid consent platform. A banner on its own does not make a website compliant, and we will not imply that it does.
5. Nothing to block
Because every request this site makes comes from our own server, there is no third-party content to block and nothing to switch off. If you use a content-blocking extension, this site will still load and work.
What you can control is your own browser: you can choose not to submit a form, and you can clear any cached copies of the site at any time — see section 6.
6. Clearing data your browser already holds
We do not set cookies, but your browser may still hold cached copies of the site files, and may have auto-filled form fields. To clear them:
- Chrome — the three-dot menu, Settings, Privacy and security, Clear browsing data.
- Firefox — the menu button, Settings, Privacy & Security, Cookies and Site Data, Clear Data.
- Safari — Safari menu, Settings, Privacy, Manage Website Data, Remove All.
- Edge — the three-dot menu, Settings, Privacy, search, and services, Clear browsing data.
